Berry Hill Farm Berry Hill Taplow Buckinghamshire SL6 0DA
The proposed site is in the Green Belt. This particular part of Green Belt serves the primary purpose of keeping the Maidenhead and Slough conurbations apart. By definition, the mast would affect the openness of the Green Belt. Permission would therefore be dependent upon special circumstances. The installation offers no public benefit to local communities, being a purely private venture in pursuit of international financial trading. The purpose of the mast is to further reduce the sub-millisecond delays in propagating financial market data around the world in support of machine based trading, radio being faster than fibre. It is not clear that this has any public benefit.
We do not therefore see that any special circumstances should apply.
